About this blog

Celebrate Philanthropy Indiana bloomed from a Central Indiana Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals committee to locally promote National Philanthropy Day.  With a lot of enthusiasm, Philanthropy Day easily turned into Philanthropy Week, and a whole slew of great stories and accomplishments came pouring in to those involved.  Naturally, it needed a home on the web – and now with tools of social media working an electronic magic, the word of good deeds done in the Hoosier state will reach and inspire many.

Celebrate Philanthropy Indiana is intended to carry out the ideals of National Philanthropy Day throughout the year by gathering stories from anyone promoting, benefiting from, or participating in philanthropic acts.  Gifts of time, talent, goods, services, cash and legacy are all highlighted here.  And I encourage anyone and everyone with a good story to share to email me. jake_roesler@yahoo.com

Thanks for reading.  Now go get inspired and do some good!
